Email Links
If you must list your email address on your website, please make sure that it is hidden from spiders that collect email addresses for use by spammers.
You can use this code to stop you email address being recognised by these spiders:
<script language="javascript">
{ var alias="james";
var domain="cheap-o-mail.com";
var subject="Site%20mail"; document.write("<a href=\"mailto:" + alias + "\@" + domain); document.write("?subject=" + subject + "\">");
document.write(alias + "\@" + domain + "</a>");
}
</script>
This will display the email address: . Change the alias, domain and subject to your own requirements (%20 is the same as a space).
The best way to avoid SPAM and attract genuine feedback from you website is with the use of an email form. We provide all clients with a free copy of NMS MailForm - an easy way to send emails from a form on your website to your inbox.
Here, at DAHOST, we use PHP to create a dynamic form that checks and corrects errors before sending a HTML email.
